Mary Marvin Johnson, M.D., F.A.A.P., P.A.
 Dr. Johnson wanted to be a pediatrician as a child, and for her it is a true vocation. After completing a fellowship in pediatric hematology and oncology at St. Jude's Hospital in Memphis , she moved to Austin . In 1985 she began her own pediatric practice. Out of that has grown her group practice, Northwest Pediatrics and Adolescents. Dr. Johnson has high expectations of herself and of her practice and has created a practice with very well trained pediatricians, who are also empathetic and genuinely caring. As a mother, she wants to provide the level of care she would expect for her own child. Her practice strives to provide competent, caring and accessible care. Patients are encouraged to participate in their own care and parents are encouraged to participate in the care of their children. She is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Johnson is active in the Austin medical community. She has served on peer review and credentialing committees as well as on the Seton Quality Improvement Committee. She is very involved in her son’s school and extracurricular activities. In January 2010, Dr. Johnson will be the Chief of Pediatrics at North Austin Medical Center.
Dr. Rania Benhammou
 Originally from South of France, Dr. Benhammou completed medical school and residency in Algeria. She was an M.D. attending at the Children’s Hospital and for the Public Health District. Additionally she received certification in allergy and immunology from the Lariboisiere St. Louis Hospital in Paris. Despite being an accomplished pediatrician in France, when she moved to the United States , she chose to do another pediatric residency in order to practice in this country. She has been practicing in the Austin area since completing her pediatrics residency at Children’s Hospital of Austin in 2006. She is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Benhammou has done volunteer work for diabetes camps in Austin and at orphanages in Algeria. She is fluent in French and English and speaks some Arabic. Her professional interests are primary care, continuity of care and family education. She enjoys spending time with her husband and three children.
Nishi Rane, M.D., F.A.A.P.
 Dr. Rane graduated from T.N. Medical College in Bombay India where she received distinctions in microbiology, biochemistry and pharmacology. She completed her pediatric residency at Cook County Children's Hospital in Chicago . It is one of the most rigorous training programs in the country and while there she was honored as intern of the year. After residency, she practiced pediatrics with a primary care group in Pryor Oklahoma . As the only pediatrician in the group she gained strong, in depth experience in all aspects of general pediatrics. Dr. Rane is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She has special interests in newborn and infant health. She speaks Hindi and medical Spanish. Outside of work she enjoys reading, traveling and spending time with her husband and two daughters.
