Mary Marvin Johnson, M.D., F.A.A.P., P.A.

Dr. Johnson wanted to be a pediatrician as a child, and for her it is a true vocation. After completing a fellowship in pediatric hematology and oncology at St. Jude's Hospital in Memphis , she moved to Austin . In 1985 she began her own pediatric practice. Out of that has grown her group practice, Northwest Pediatrics and Adolescents. Dr. Johnson has high expectations of herself and of her practice and has created a practice with very well trained pediatricians, who are also empathetic and genuinely caring. As a mother, she wants to provide the level of care she would expect for her own child. Her practice strives to provide competent, caring and accessible care. Patients are encouraged to participate in their own care and parents are encouraged to participate in the care of their children. She is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Johnson is active in the Austin medical community. She has served on peer review and credentialing committees as well as on the Seton Quality Improvement Committee. She is very involved in her son’s school and extracurricular activities.
